Cloud Cafe-ing. I’ve made that a word. Currently sipping on an Iced Hibiscus Raspberry Tea. It has a peculiar taste that I’m not use to. I’ll try anything once even though I’m not a fan of raspberry. But it’s not bad. Just very strange for my palette that I’ll have to get use to.
I don’t like that there are MORE people coming in now. I mean yay they’re getting business but now they’re in my area. One girl even dared to sit in MY seat so now I’m in a seat where I can stare at her with disgust. The nerve of some people.
Pretty much how I feel about my seat. *sigh*
Went out with Tim, Sarah, and June for Kenson’s birthday celebration. He’s the youngest cousin I have in the States so it’s a little weird taking him out on his 21st birthday and getting drinks. Everyone is so grown up now. Next thing you know we’ll be celebrating one of my niece’s/nephew’s 21st!
One of the gorgeous views at work.
I’ve been contemplating on other things than just changing up my blog (which might take a while to happen now that I realize how much work I have to prepare for it). I might be going back to school. I cannot
fully quit my job since well I’m poor. But I’m searching for some online classes/degrees/programs and whatnot. I’ve found one I’m super interested in but we’ll have to see how that goes.
Cost and how many times I have to go drive/fly somewhere to take tests will be the deciding factor for me. Hopefully whichever one I chose, I’ll be able to follow through. I love learning and things are easy for me if someone teaches me how to do it but taking tests are the death of me – super huge anxiety. *eeeeeeeek*
Me with my British boss. He wanted to take one with the Union Jack! Guess pictures aren’t that fun when faces are blocked out, eh? Oh well.
Time to research about school stuff. Happy weekend loves!
Bear Grylls .. I can’t even begin to talk about how sexy he is. Ohhhh British men. You might know him from Man vs. Wild or the new NBC show, Get Out Alive. Watch it. He’s crazy and I love it!
Speaking of British men, here’s one of my bosses, who is from Britain, turning cowboy. So hilarious. The top part of his attire can totally pass but he needs blue jeans and cowboy boots for the bottom. Always fun times hanging out at my contractor company’s socials. Lots of laughter, food, and … beer. Had to block his face for obvious reasons.
Thinking up a new blog name is so much harder than I remembered. All the ones I wanted have been taken. Either I’m awesome at making up names or super unoriginal. I have a few lined up but I don’t know if it sounds too bleugh. Going to play with them a few more times and probably ask for some opinions before deciding because I will not be changing it ever again. Dun Dun Dunnnnnn …
Time to get ready for bed. That social lasted almost 4 hours. I am pooooooped.
Stay Positive & Think Good Thoughts.
I’m a little overwhelmed with all the posts people are making these past few days! I guess because some people are on vacation while others are done with school. It’s pretty much filled to the brim and I’ve only been able to catch some of them. I cannot wait to read it all tomorrow.
So there has been some exciting things that’s been happening these past few days:
- I finally booked my flight to New Orleans in January for my first ever business trip. BossMan booked our hotels. I booked a one night hotel that isn’t part of the business trip (going a day and a half early!) so that I can make it into a somewhat vacation since I decided not to take any days off from Christmas or New Years. Making paper, dude!
- I am getting my documents/contracts to sign for my new contractor company. I found out British Man has a girlfriend. But ah I love his accent so much. Wish I had a British accent. They’re so cool.
- I’ve been wanting a new laptop. Maybe more like a netbook since it’s a hassle carrying around this one. I think I’ve found the one I want … I will be checking it out tomorrow. Can’t wait! Eeps!
That’s pretty much it.
I hope you all have a great Friday! I am ready!
Those in Houston, do you remember that place? I remember going there for fun and games whenever there was something to celebrate.
Anyway, thank you for the feedback from my previous post. I tried all the advice I got and it seems it might be working. Or all the worries are in my head. I guess time will tell. But after posting the post, and going to work the last couple days, things seemed to have changed.Everything takes time and if I don’t feel like I fit in now, maybe I just have to try try again and not over think things. I tend to do so.
I met a British man today. He’s going to be the liaison between me and my new contractor company. He is funny and has a really sweet accent. I am jealous of his accent. And he is kind of cute. 😉 I always think contractor companies send over older people but he seems to be in his middle to late 20s if I have to guess. But uh … can I holla atchu boy? haha JK!
On Wednesday my company invited the people on my floor for a Christmas Luncheon at the Downtown Aquarium. If I remember correctly, I don’t think I’ve ever been there so I was very excited … until we got there and realized we weren’t going to see the whole aquarium. Womp Womp.
The picture you see is from the restaurant part of the aquarium. It was really big and we actually saw a lot of fishies and sting rays and whatnot. Just wish I could of seen the sharks and stuff too.
Here was our food lineup:
- Cranberry Bread – AMAZING. And I never say that about bread.
- Beef tenderloin with mashed potatoes and steamed veggies – medium rare, no flowing jucies. One of my coworkers sent it back because it wasn’t “dead” enough. teehee And I love what they did with the mashed potatoes. They always tasted better when it’s not just plopped down on the plate.
- Chocolate Mousse (Disgusting. Sorry.), Key Lime Pie (LOVE LOVE LOVE especially the shell), Crème Brulee (wasn’t bad but could be a little thicker for better taste)
I made pound cake! Since we decided to celebrate BossMan’s birthday early, I promised him pound cake and I delivered. I didn’t get to taste any so maybe next time. But it sure smelled delicious!
We went out to lunch today for BossMan’s birthday. That prime rib was DELICIOIUS. Cooked to perfection. I know what I’m getting next time I’m here .. whenever that will be. We even had a Carrot Cake from Ooh La La Bakery. It was $60 something bucks! But all worth it since it weighed like 10 pounds.
Tomorrow night it’s BossMan’s Birthday Celebration Part 2 … cannot wait. Eep.
Have a great Friday tomorrow! 🙂
