[2013] 016/365: Go Texan Day & Oscar’s Recap

Before I talk about my Project 365 for today I just want to say:

Do not eat Ikea’s Swedish Meatballs!

There could be horse meat inside. They state that the ones in US are safe but … they come from the same factory. You’ve been warned. Click on the link above to read more about it!

Today we got to dress up as a cowboy/cowgirl celebrating Texas. Since it’s Rodeo time and stuff. I forgot to dress up. Whoops.

But I still got free bbq! And there was a photo booth there. I took some pictures with some kiddos from work. We also got cookies shaped like Texas, Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo bandana, and a HERO bag. Sweet!

It’s no doubt everyone’s talking about the Oscar’s today. I, however, go to Yahoo! News for my Oscar’s recap. And these will do just fine.

Seth MacFarlane was the host and he made a “I Saw Your Boobs” song and dance. A little weird and awkward. But that’s who he is.

Channing Tatum apparently waxes … but I don’t care. He’s just on here cuz he is fine.

Sandra Bullock is STILL gorgeous with that face.

Let’s not forget Jennifer Lawerence’s fall. I wasn’t a big fan of her but after that speech … seeing the real her (no not the falling) after the fall. It doesn’t phase her and she can still joke about.

And then I leave you with the outfits. I don’t know who gets to chose what looks good or not. I think Helen Hunt’s dress was perfect seeing how she’s trying to save the world. Yet she get’s a bad grade. Designer doesn’t mean anything!!

Time to read some blogs, watch some Netflix, and hit the hay!

This week is going by TOO slow.

A Whole Lotta Fun

Tuesday

A coworker was leaving to do bigger and better things so BossMan took us out for lunch at:

Pradaria
10694 Westheimer Road
Houston, TX 77042
(281) 501-2960
www.pradaria.com

Cheese Bread – too doughy for my taste. Pass …

Salad Bar – a lot of various choices. My favorite is the cow tongue (gross I know … but so good!) and the mashed potatoes since I’ve been craving it!

All You Can Eat Meat – so many choices! I only had a good I don’t know … 10 or so pieces of different meat. That’s SO much. They didn’t come over a lot though. Maybe because we had a lot of people and was scared we were gonna eat all their food.

Thanks Bossman!

Halloween! Also my sissy’s birthday. Yep she’s a halloweenie! (teehee) I was dressed up as a ballerina. Simple and easy because I was tired from a long day of work. She had a little get together costume party and we had wine and cheese, and snacks, and sweets. YuM!

There’s no pictures since they are her friends and if she doesn’t want to be on the blog, I doubt her friends would either. Don’t know how they’ll feel about that so here’s a picture of Bruno is his bed while we partied.

Friday

The girls: Mallory, Samantha, Leah M. and I had a girl’s night.

Don Julio’s Mexican Restaurant & Cantina
25250 Northwest Freeway
Cypress, TX 77429

Chips & Dip – free and so good … the green one at least which makes me believe is creamy avocado dip. YUM!

We all got Margaritas on ice (Sam got it frozen). I use to think I hate margaritas but I’m beginning to think I don’t like them frozen. In ice is totally different. Guess because it dilutes the alcohol a bit?

La Paz – the enchilada and taco was so good and moist. The pork tamale … not so much. It was SUPER dry. Don’t ever get that if you ever go here.

We moved our booties to a bar. We were early so there wasn’t much people but there was a band playing and I loved their choice of music.

But we drove down to Midnight Rodeo and danced our hearts away. It was a lot of fun critiquing people dancing. Some people … they’re there for our entertainment. Sorry for being mean but I’m not sorry. You had to be there.

Saturday

Went over to Mallory’s and we watched Magic Mike with Samantha … too much skin. I’m not use to it. But I guess it’s a given with it being a stripper movie and all.

Channing Tatum is a hottie but my eyes were all for Alex Pettyfer in this one. Mmm … man with scruff.

This week is over already. But I’m excited for what’s to come! Ice Hockey this Thursday. Crossing things off my list! And day off this Friday! Whoop! Happy upcoming week! I promise to do better with this whole blogging during the week thing.

Growing Up

I was suppose to start Paleo on May 1st but a sea of events made me change my mind. It was Andy L.’s birthday and although he doesn’t celebrate his birthday, we went out for dinner and drinks because he was turning 21. Only the right thing to do, right? So how can I start Paleo when I would have to drink beer. And when I say have I mean, want to. We had dinner at Cheddar’s with a big group of people and then ended up going to Kona. There was only four of us total, but that’s all you need to have fun!

I got into a three hour plus deep conversation with someone and I realized that timing is everything and I don’t have it. I never have it. Paleo was the last thing on my mind that day.

**********

Jenny is the worst when it comes to picking movies. She picked Haywire just because Channing Tatum is in it. Really? He was only on screen for at least 15 minutes.

Travis left few seconds before the movie was over. Let’s just say we were lost pretty much the entire movie. Travis and I texted the whole time. Yep … worst movie ever. Don’t watch it.

We were suppose to watch Hugo but Jakob came over and we watched The Cell instead. It’s a weird movie but very sad if you think about it. Actually I watched the movie. He fell asleep and is still asleep on the couch. I tried waking him up and it didn’t work. How do you wake someone up that is a heavy sleeper?

**********

Did I mention I was graduating? Yep. Next Saturday. Next step … into the real world.
