A Walk to Remember

Today was super crazy. At 6-8pm we had an FTK Open House so I got there at 5:30 pm to help set up!

I worked the Merchandise table and sold a bunch of stuff! Whoo!

I came home with two FTK shirts, two UTSA Rec towels, one Gatorade towel, and two Gatorade bottles. You know. The ones that athletic people use. Cool huh? It was FTK Clearance sell and not buying some of these things would be dumb on my part.

I came home and heated up my food. As I’m about to sit down to eat and watch my Chinese soaps, my phone rings.

It’s brother bear! aka Travis, my next door neighbor. I’ve known him for a little over a year now. I haven’t seen him for three months. (That should be a crime.)

He said he and A.V. were knocking on the door. Whooooops. I cannot hear the front door from my room (which I love!).

I opened the door and he’s holding this!

He bought this movie to surprise his girlfriend on Valentine’s Day so they could watch it. It’s her favorite and he knew she already has this movie so he’s been meaning to give it to me … and did … finally!!

I’m excited to watch this again. I love this movie! Do you like this movie? If your answer is no, I don’t know if we can be friends anymore.

Then they made me go eat Whataburger with them so I put up my food. Happy I got to catch up with them!Open-mouthed smile


Fitness Magazine’s Superset 2 …CHECK!

3 sets of 12 reps of the Preacher Curl and 3 sets of 12 reps of the Diamond Push-Up.

The Preacher Curl was easy peasy. Seriously need to get heavier weights. Maybe I can get someone to send down the other ones for me from home.

The Diamond Push-Up was killer. I felt it right away with my right arm. It got tougher every single time I went down. But I pushed through it. I definitely feel it in both my arms. Right more then left of course.

Do you feel the burn faster in one arm than the other? Is that normal? I want to know if I’m doing it incorrectly and that’s the reason why.

It’s been a stressful day so seeing Travis & A.V. was good. Now I’m all tired and lazy and don’t want to read for class. Not good. Not good at all.Confused smile


Jenny and I went to some liquor store a few days ago. And look what we found!!!!!!

So I’ve finished the Flatout Flatbread The Original and am moving on to the Flatout Flatbread Multi-Grain with Flax.


Mmmm .. carrots and peanut butter (Peanut Butter & Co.’s The Bees Knees to be exact). YUM!

The Multi-Grain with Flax is more floury than The Original. It is also more grainy. DUH! But it’s still okay. So far it’s not as great as The Original.

What’s inside? Oh just a turkey dog and spinach. Mmmm.


Look what I made!! It’s green pepper with an egg in the middle. Kind of looks like a flower huh? Hmm … guess it’s just me. It’s so cute!!


I also did my Superset 1 from Fitness Magazine last night! 3 sets of 12 reps of Bent-Over Row and 3 sets of 12 reps of Decline Bench Press. I used a 3 pound dumbbell so I don’t think it worked out too much. But I felt my back and chest definitely tingling with a little soreness this morning. Good I guess? Yay.

I’m slowly getting into the workout scene again. I seriously need to find a place to run. It’s still too hot outside. Thank goodness the humidity stayed in Houston though.

Build A Workout

So lazy I am.

Okay, so yeah I did take up five hours making a new banner for this site.

I still don’t know how I want it but surprisingly, I’m very happy with the outcome this time.

Very simplistic.

I dubbed this week no run week.

My hip needs to heal as well as my foot.

So I did a simple workout with weights.

Seriously … simple.

Fitness Magazine has a Build A Workout page.

You tell them what areas you want to work on, how much time you have, as well as what equipment you have on hand.

Being the sad person that I am, I had nothing much but wanted to work everything.

I set mine to 15 minutes because I am so dang tired. And I only had 5 lb dumbells. I have more but it’s the kind you have to change to get the weight you want. (LAZY!)

This was very easy and ended quickly.

I haven’t done workouts like these in a long time so this got me going and I feel it a little.

Mission Accomplished.

I Did It

As work piles up – at work, I realize I’m getting lazier and lazier with running.

It’s not like I’m giving up. It’s just – so tired that I don’t want to move.

So I would like to say that I DID IT! The C25K tonight was the same as Monday’s run. Simple huh?

I had the mindset that I was super tired. Little cramps in my calves developed and I told myself, it’s all in my head. It went away and the ache everywhere else started. And I told myself again, it’s all in my head. Sadly this didn’t go away but somehow, I got through it … somehow.

Only seven more days of running. Or two weeks and one day of running. Feels good to know I’m almost to the end. I’ve been deciding on what I want to buy to applaud myself since this journey started off to see if I can make it to the end without giving up. Not too sure what the product will be but do know something is going to be purchased!

I got home and made myself a delicious smoothie. It was the first time it was so thick that I needed a spoon. Reminds me of Julie from Peanut Butter Fingers and all her delicious looking smoothies and shakes!

Please excuse my disgusting, sweaty face. Mmmm .. so good. Oh and excuse the decor. I’m in my brother’s old room. He decorated that back in middle school when plastering your wall with crap was cool.

It was so dang icy … I got several brain freezes. Rest assure that I yelled a couple times. Frick Frick Mmm you so good Frick Frick!

Now I’m squeaky clean and cannot wait to unwind. Hello Chinese Soap Operas. (Yes, I am a fob.)

*Edit: I was reading through my Google Reader. I came across Christy from Lift To Run and saw that she got her Fitness Magazine!

I ran downstairs and asked my mum if I got anything in the mail and lo and behold …

Serious cheesin’. Why is Julian Michaels on the cover? It’s not that I hate her but I don’t love her. I like seeing regular, non-famous girls on the cover, please.

Can’t wait to dig through this. Sadly I’ve been so busy I’m still working on last month’s.
