Change In My Future – More School?

Cloud Cafe-ing. I’ve made that a word. Currently sipping on an Iced Hibiscus Raspberry Tea. It has a peculiar taste that I’m not use to. I’ll try anything once even though I’m not a fan of raspberry. But it’s not bad. Just very strange for my palette that I’ll have to get use to.

I don’t like that there are MORE people coming in now. I mean yay they’re getting business but now they’re in my area. One girl even dared to sit in MY seat so now I’m in a seat where I can stare at her with disgust. The nerve of some people.

Pretty much how I feel about my seat. *sigh*

Went out with Tim, Sarah, and June for Kenson’s birthday celebration. He’s the youngest cousin I have in the States so it’s a little weird taking him out on his 21st birthday and getting drinks. Everyone is so grown up now. Next thing you know we’ll be celebrating one of my niece’s/nephew’s 21st!

One of the gorgeous views at work.

I’ve been contemplating on other things than just changing up my blog (which might take a while to happen now that I realize how much work I have to prepare for it). I might be going back to school. I cannot fully quit my job since well I’m poor. But I’m searching for some online classes/degrees/programs and whatnot. I’ve found one I’m super interested in but we’ll have to see how that goes.

Cost and how many times I have to go drive/fly somewhere to take tests will be the deciding factor for me. Hopefully whichever one I chose, I’ll be able to follow through. I love learning and things are easy for me if someone teaches me how to do it but taking tests are the death of me – super huge anxiety. *eeeeeeeek*

Me with my British boss. He wanted to take one with the Union Jack! Guess pictures aren’t that fun when faces are blocked out, eh? Oh well.

Time to research about school stuff. Happy weekend loves!

Birthday Palooza

I turned a year older yesterday. This birthday marks the best one thus far. Let’s let pictures and a few words capture my Birthday Weekend. I hope you guys had an amazing weekend like me! What amazing thing did you do?

Friday aka Party Time:

I had this day off … wonderful. Perfect. Night plans were changed due to too many people at Cheddar’s. We ended up at Wild Wings Cafe then out for drinks afterward. Thanks to Mallory, Samantha, Amanda, Lauren, Maggie, John, Ronnie, Michael, Nate, Matt, Brett, and Robbie for coming out. I had a lot of fun with y’all and it definitely meant a lot to me since some of y’all were working all day or have finals and such.

Lemon Cupcakes with Vanilla Frosting I made for my friends.
House got hot and some of the frosting melted off.
Definitely turning up the AC next time.

Some of the peoples from the night.
Thank you for making my night wonderful!

From Mallory.
Phone/Wallet Case. Nail Polish. Bath Bombs.
She tried to get me a Cloud Cafe gift card.
CC doesn’t have those. Sad day.

From Samantha.
Box of 4 different Green Teas.
And a mug.

From Robbie.
Fortune Cookie Card.
Even wrote our names in Chinese. Ha Funny.

Saturday aka Lazy Day:

Watched The Great Gatsby with Mallory, her mum, and Samantha.
Early Bird gets the worm!
It wasn’t all that amazing. Pretty … meh okay.
You can already see me using the phone/wallet case.

Gorgeous Samantha.

Freddy’s with Samantha.
I love our dates.

Birthday Dinner with Fam at Pappasito’s.
Parents and June had their first Dos-a-rita.

Cake June bought at La Madeline.
Not sure what it’s called.
Pretty delicious.

From Sissy.
Random knick-nacks I’d be using up soonsies.
Her other gift is her old Full sized bed. Cannot wait.

From Parents.
First James Avery Ring.
Loves it.

Sunday aka Mother’s Day:

Tammy’s Mother’s Day delivery to my Mum.
Can’t wait to finally see her walk across the stage this Friday!

Fruit tart June bought from La Madeline for me.
My favoritest dessert ever ever.

The lake behind Gordon’s house.
Had potluck with the fam for Mother’s Day.

Bruno. Chilling in Gordon’s backyard.

Monday aka Birth Day:

I was stuck in a conference/workshop all day along with working 2 hours before to catch up on some things. Oy vey. Afterward the work team and the Canadian team that came down for the conference/workshop had a dinner thing at Dave and Buster’s. It was the longest birthday day ever.

Early bird. Already working hard and finally had time to check my phone.
Notifications wazoo.
Wrapped up office done by amazing coworker.
Birthday cupcake from Zuco.

Red Envelopes from Parents and June.

Dave and Buster’s Work Dinner … over $1100 … not counting drinks.
WTF. But the food was delicious.
Birthday Cake. Hope my wish comes true.
Some great coworkers helped me get super lots of tickets … over 3500.
Got a Das Boot and tiny shot glass as a birthday present.
The other tickets went to the other two coworkers.
They chose shot glasses and candy.

Seriously. It’s been amazing. Thank you to EVERYONE that has helped me celebrate. I’ve been giddy. Thank you thank you. All the phone calls, text messages, notifications on every social media … I am so thankful for all of you.

Happy Tuesday!

You’ve Been Instagramed!

The day after I told y’all it felt like 90 degrees, it stormed for practically the whole day.
Flooded my city.
The little cars couldn’t get through so I was stuck in traffic for 2 hours.
Thank goodness for my SUV.

June bought 30+ lbs of crawfish. Score.
So freaking good. I liked the leftovers better the next day.
The flavors just infuse better. Yum!

Rocky chilling outside with us while we made our critters.

Practiced my chocolate piping skills. That’s the aftermath.
Pile of chocolate piping. Still sucks but it’s getting better.
Practice makes perfect … hopefully.

Made whole wheat blueberry pancakes.
Best thing eva.

Time to clean my rooms and plan out my workouts for the week. Still can’t do cardio due to my stress fracture. I should probably go to the doctor for that … along with all my other problems. Bleugh!

How was your weekend? Do anything fun?!

P.S. I bought another Cloud Cafe Groupon. Addicted.

[2013] 001/365: Year of the Snake

I decided to do Project 365 since it’s the start of the (Chinese) New Year.

For those that don’t know what that is, it’s a project in where you take ONE picture (or two or five thousand) a day as a reminder of life.

I’ve been writing in a calendar something good per day but this seems more memorable since it’s in the blog and all.

I don’t know if I’ll post every day or not. BUT I will take a picture everyday and try my best to post it everyday. If not then I’ll just pretend I posted it that day … when we all know I didn’t. Lies. I know.

Without further ado, here goes.

Happy Chinese New Year, wonderfuls! It’s been a very relaxing weekend hanging out with the family. The members in our family dwindles down every year since we’re all so busy with work or school and such. But when we get together, it feels like old times. Given the only kids this time around was sissy, Brett, and I, we still had fun.

Since it’s the year of the snake, my year, it means I have bad luck. Therefore Mum, Dad, and June gave me an extra red envelope. Two of which has red string in it and I can’t use the money in it for a year. Used to ward off the bad. The other red string is tied around my wrist. Hope it works. I need all the good luck I can get.

Hope you all had a great weekend!

Last Week … Weekend Festivities

I love my job. Why? Because I have TWO companies as of right now and one of them threw an amazing social at Dave and Busters! Can’t wait for the next social!

Day off!

Went to brunch with the sissy then she went off to her mani/pedi and I went home and baked two type of things for the dinner party. It was held at The Powerpuff Clubhouse … aka Samantha’s place.

Funfetti Cake Bars and Brownie Chocolate Chip Cookies.

Dinner is served. Cubed Potatoes, Pot Roast, Green Beans, and Salad.

Bubbles, John, and Blossom.

We hung out the rest of the night and I had a lot of fun just being silly with them. It was Mal and I’s first real party ever since being out of high school. Makes me realize just how grown up we are.

I went to Whole Foods with Mum and June. It’s SO SO SO close to home now. I’m in love … with a store. Don’t judge.

I found these pretty awesome cute pebbled potatoes. They were $4.99 so I sadly had to put them down.

I picked these babies up instead. $2.99 for way more. I used some to make dinner!

Picked up some Shrimp & Chicken Jambalaya. And used the potatoes and made a Sausage, Potato, Veggie Bake. It was a win.

I even got dessert from Whole Foods for the fams.

I went to Madison’s house (Mallory’s sister) and watched the Super Bowl. I made cake balls but there are no pictures. We even went outside and threw the football around. The party pretty much ended when the stadium decided to have a power outage. Good going, guys.

Then Samantha and Mallory decided it would be a good idea to find my blog. Which, I’m not going to lie, if you know me well enough, you can find my blog easy peasily. And they did … Hi Guys. If you’re reading this and you find a picture or something you don’t like that pertains to you, let me know and I’ll take it down! 🙂

It’s been a pretty eventful weekend and this weekend will be even better! Chinese New Year!! Cannot wait!

Christmas Haul

Last week we received something from Hong Kong. It was very exciting.

Gifts from the coworkers. I also got a Christmas Card from one of my coworkers. Her family is so cutes.

I went and sent a few cards for some friends because I LOVE snail mail. Nothing special. Just wanted to let them know I was thinking of them. I wanted to send more out but didn’t have addresses or time.

And now the presents from the fams! I’m not boasting or anything. Just wanted to keep a memory of the things I got this year!

Popcorn kernels for my popcorn machine!! Yippee!! My brother’s been bugging me to make some for him but I haven’t. Whoops.

She also gave me an Estee Lauder makeup/clutch thing with some makeup samples inside that goes with Pleasure.

My dad does this game where we choose numbers which indicates a different envelopes that has different amounts of money inside. I won the jackpot this year! Yippee!! I use to win the $5 or $10! 🙂

I got an art set! I am TOO excited. I haven’t opened up because everything is so perfect right now. Do you get that way? Ah … cannot wait. Hopefully I make some smoking a** things!

Sissy & Brett:

My favorite … a You Curl Iron! I never knew how to curl my hair. Partly because I don’t want to damage my hair or burn myself but this seriously makes everything so easy! I think everyone should get one because it’s just so simple and fast and makes some bomb diggity curls! That’s my first time curling. Love it or hate it?

I’ve been practicing every day … aka killing my hair.

Pumpkin Butter & Cookie Butter. It’s so perfect I haven’t even opened it yet. I haven’t tried them before but she knew I wanted to. I was beyond excited when I tore opened my package. What shall I eat with these lovelies?

He gave me his computer monitor during Thanksgiving and that is part of my Christmas and birthday present. Hence no pictures in case y’all were wondering. 🙂

Candles for my stanky room! The vanilla cupcake smells like heaven. I’m hurrying up with my old candle so I can pop one of these open! Eeep!

A 2013 calendar. I already have a planner so I’m debating what to do with this one. Any ideas? I really do love it but I’m not sure what to do with it.

She also got me a egg maker thingie that makes eggs in a shape of a heart. I think I can use it with pancake batter too. Hmm … 😉

Alyssa & Greg:

So I just got this a yesterday but I love it. Anything that comes through snail mail wins my heart. That might answer the reason why I do online shopping so much. Anyway, it’s great hearing from her and I really do miss her. I cannot wait till she and her husband (ah we’re too grown up!) are back in Houston!

The weekend is here and work couldn’t have gone any slower these past few days.

I got the 31st off but I’m debating if I should go in or not … leaning towards not but who knows what’ll happen.

Hope you all have a great weekend!!

Instagramed Weekend

Lunch with the coworkers and BossMan.
We went to La Madeline’s then Ooh La La Bakery.
Here we have the Red Velvet.
I wasn’t a great fan of it.
Pure sugar in the frosting and no taste in the cake part.

Happy Hour with the coworkers and BossMan.
My usual Guinness.
They know how to do it right here at The King’s Head Pub.
Lots of foam. YUM!

Day off = Dentist appointment.
Not a fan of any kinds of doctors.
Got an Asian Dentist … racists. jk.
Got my teeth cleaned and told that I need to extract all four of my wisdom teeth.
Scared. Need to set appointment. Ahh first surgery of my life.

Sonic run with June after Just Dance 3.
Pretty much ate back everything we burned.
I got a mini strawberry milkshake and almost didn’t finish.
I don’t know how people can do sweets like this.

Almost took this baby home.
A Chiuauaua mix.
He was the right height for running and right size to pick up and cuddle with.
Too hyper out of the kennel though and wasn’t potty trained.

Sissy & Brett came home to visit and brought Bruno Baby.
Can’t get enough of his cuteness.

Old school blood pressure measurer.
With mercury and everything.

Sunday night football … Texans lost.

Red Velvet Cake for Sissy’s early birthday celebration.
Soooo good. Better than Ooh La La.
We had Korean BBQ to celebrate as well.
No more Korean BBQ for a long while … haha

My life isn’t really crazy wild like others. Anyway, I hope this week is going well for all. We’re almost there! 😉
