Thanks … No Thanks

I’m thankful I’ve never had to think about how much a car battery costs and just went and bought one when I needed it. A friend of mine had to get his car jumped every time he wanted to go somewhere because his battery died. I wish I could of helped him … but I felt I was bothering him instead. Glad he was finally able to get a new one.

I am NOT thankful to hear someone from my graduating high school class has passed away. We had way to many people in our school so I didn’t know him but the posts I see all over Facebook shows he was a good man. His family & friends are in my thoughts.

I’m thankful I was able to stand for 18 hours this past weekend for those that can’t. I believe I was born to help others.

I am NOT thankful for these monthly headaches that won’t go away for a good few days. The pain is always in the same place. If I throw up, it goes away. I’m trying not to soooo we will see how it goes.

I’m thankful for technology. I just found out Justin & Leah are officially engaged! It was a long time coming and it’s wonderful I can know about it so many miles away! I feel old. And super single.

I’m Back San Antonio!

Workout

Be proud of me. I woke up and immediately changed and worked out.

45 min cardio

For the first 15 minutes I had no energy and kept yelling at myself, “Why are you doing this now?”

Yep. I felt like a lazy lard until I picked up my pace and said it’s now or never.

After that 15 minutes I realized it’s not that bad at all.

I congratulate all of y’all that work out in the morning upon waking up.

San Antonio

Reason I worked out so early is because I needed to head to San Antonio. Last time for a while. Hoping I can come back here by September. It sucks how much I really miss these people when I’m back home.

Went to Aerie. Then went and saw Leah at Kona. Caught up and ate. Took a nap (because I’m getting old). And now I’m talking to Jared on Facebook. We have bad timing. Every time he’s free, I’m not and vice versa. He was wondering to hang out and obviously, I’m in San Antonio.

Cannot wait to see some lovelies tonight!! Going to seize the moment!

Busy Weekend

I woke up late yesterday to the 5k Diploma Dash. I brushed my teeth and jumped on Jenny’s bed so she could take me. I made it in time!! And walked the 5k in less than an hour. I had shin splints so doing it in 56 minutes wasn’t bad to me. I beat other people younger than me who walked it in more than 1 hour. Next time I will run the 5k in October in Houston. At least that’s the plan.

I went to basketball practice but change of plans made practice into scrimmages. Leah wasn’t going to come to practice but she was watching some kid show (up above) with her nephew and her words exactly, “This is what made me come …” long pause “… to basketball practice.” Which made me laugh so loud. Love her.

Leah and I waited too long to get our scrimmage on so we left with Eric T. and Gerald. Said bye to Leah and the rest of us went and ate Pho on Bitters. It was delicious. Especially on such a windy day. We had lots of laughter and giggles. A lot of inside jokes and I got to know them better. It was fun and it was more amazing because Gerald drove instead of me. I hate driving!

I went home to relax then went to Flying Saucer with Amanda, Brent, and Jenny. What was suppose to be a date with Amanda and I became a double … in a way. I didn’t mind it though. The more the merrier.

I caught up with Amanda about stuff going on with her and stuff going on with me. Brent and Amanda gave me some advice which kind of made me feel better but at the same time, not so much.

Jenny got the Texas sample beers. YuM! I think I want to do that next time I go just so I can try everything.

We bumped into Travis at Flying Saucer earlier and he said he was going to come over whenever we got home. And so he did. We hung out and talked and looked at funny pictures online.

First time in my life I was so tired that I kept closing my eyes. So we called it a night.

Woke up early working on things then went to Football Practice for a few hours. I am so tired out.

Jenny and I just got back from Fish City Grill. Sad we couldn’t get crawfish but next time. Next time.

Soccer Game in one hour and thirty minutes. Let’s go!
